I assumed the location was busy and no one was able to answer the phone. Upon my arrival there are approximately 3 cars in the parking lot, 6 WH workers standing around the grill laughing as though they had not a care in the world.
I’ve been here twice. Marc has been there both times. They were both late night trips (9pm-12am). They’ve been relatively busy both times but he’s always on his A-Game. Tonight, an older woman was very rude when complaining about the cleanliness and decided to leave. Waffle House isn’t a steak house. It isn’t somewhere you’d plan a fancy date. It’s somewhere you go to get good, fresh, cheap food. And from my experience — it hasn’t even been dirty. Marc was extremely kind when she was very condescending. 5 Stars. I’m glad they’re there and I’m glad Marc is on the shift that i happen to visit on.
1st off I've been to this location before and had much better service. I had just landed from a long day of traveling. I was hungry so at 5am I decided to call and place an order for pickup, remind you I'm one my way there due to my hotel being 2 minutes away. The phone rings 6 times and hangs up. I call back 5 more times I get the same results.
There was one guy running the show and he was slow. We sat down at a dirty table and he said he would be with us and wipe the table and we waited while the other employee had disappeared... and he messed with silverware and helped someone pay... and took unnecessary multiple trips back and forth from another table. We finally walked out.
The entire staff seem to be preoccupied with things other than performing their jobs. The waitress took my order; Patty Melt, Scrabbled Eggs w/ Cheese, and Grits. The food wasn't too bad until I tasted the Grits which were old and had lumps of uncooked Grits inside the lumps themselves.
It's Waffle House. What can you expect? The prices are low, the staff is attentive. They are quick with a "good morning." The food is greasy, but that's expected; most American food is. The bacon, eggs, ham, bread, and hash are always fresh because they move the stuff so fast. The coffee is average and the o.j. is from a can. Waffle house is as American as apple pie. First of all have dairy allergy. Simple order asked for dry toast and hash browns. Waitress says ok. I got toast covered in butter and hash browns covered in butter. Husband enjoyed it . But I didnt. Not coming back.
At this point was done. I was so disappointed and dissatisfied I finished the portion of my meal that was good and left the rest. I've reached out to the GM of this location to share my concerns. I think it's safe to say I will not be visiting this location again.
At this point I had a theory so to test this theory I called 2 more times everyone that was standing around continued to do so. I finally walked into the establishment, there was no greeting by anyone. I seated myself and sat for the next 15 minutes before someone acknowledged me.
